FAQs: WooCommerce Multi Locations Inventory Management

  1. Can I keep a product status as “Instock” without managing inventory or adding stock for a location?

==> Yes, you can. Simply go to the product edit page, untick the “Manage stock” option, and below that, select the stock status as “Instock.”

  1. Why does it display “Out of Stock” when creating a variable product
==>  To create a variable product, ensure you add unique SKUs to all variations. Disable the “Manage stock” option in the inventory section, but enable (tick) the “Manage stock” option in the variations section.
  1. What is the first step after installing the WCMLIM plugin?

==> The first step is to create locations. Go to “Manage Location,” fill in all the details, and then proceed to the product edit page. In the Inventory tab, enable the “Manage stock” option. You can then update and add stock to specific products based on location.

==>To display the Location Popup on any page, follow these steps:

Copy the shortcode provided. Shortcode: [wcmlim_locations_popup]

Navigate to the WordPress backend and access the Shop Page.

Insert the copied shortcode into the description section of the Shop Page.

9 .How to Restrict Different Shipping Zones to Specific Locations:

Create a shipping zone for the US and restrict it to the US only. You can further refine the restrictions to specific zip codes or cities if needed.

Next, create another shipping zone for Canada and restrict it to Canada only. Similar to the US zone, you can set restrictions based on zip codes or cities.

Navigate to Settings > Shipping and Payment Method. Enable both settings titled “Shipping zones to each location” and “Shipping Methods to each location.”

Go to the location settings and assign the US zone to locations within the US and assign the Canada zone to locations within Canada.

After this setup, users from US locations will be restricted to purchasing from the assigned US location, and the same applies to Canada.

You can create multiple shipping zones according to your requirements.
